We are a small tax and accounting firm in Virginia Beach, VA. We help all sized businesses with their accounting and payroll needs throughout the year, and provide personal, business, estate trust and non-profit tax services as well.

We are in need of someone who is experienced in corporate and personal tax preparation, preferably with 3 years of experience in taxation & 2 years of experience in accounting. A CPA, an EA, and/or a Registered Tax Preparer is a plus. You should have efficient computer skills, including being familiar with tax and accounting software. It is a plus if you have worked with ProSeries and Sage 50 Accounting software.

**The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with experience in all areas of tax preparation who is available during daytime working hours. WE DO NOT HAVE A REMOTE OPTION SO CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF OUR LOCAL AREA NEED NOT APPLY. During tax season, depending on our volume, you may be expected to work 40 hours a week and some Saturdays may also be required. Outside of tax season the hours may be reduced and/or only on an as-needed basis.**

We are seeking someone who is detail oriented, highly accurate, efficient, trustworthy, positive, and can work independently. Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are also needed.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, preparing corporate and personal tax returns, researching tax laws, completing various accounting tasks, putting together new client accounts from start to finish, some administrative tasks, and corresponding with IRS and State government authorities.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the interview (negotiable). We are also open to a subcontractor who wants to work part time/as needed for this role.
