We are looking for a QA Auditor - Mechanical to ensure mechanical components, assemblies, and systems meet all company quality requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. The role focuses on inspections, process audits, and quality reporting for mechanical manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-process and final inspections of mechanical parts, welds, and assemblies.

- Audit manufacturing processes for compliance with ASME, AWS, ASTM standards.

- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

- Verify that mechanical testing and measurement procedures are properly followed.

- Assist with root cause analysis and track corrective/preventive actions.

- Audit supplier-delivered mechanical parts and fabricated components for conformance.

- Support ISO 9001 internal audits and compliance activities.

- Collaborate with QA Engineers, production, and suppliers to resolve issues.



Qualifications

- High school diploma or associate degree in a technical field (Mechanical Technology preferred).

- 2+ years of experience in mechanical inspection or quality auditing.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and mechanical codes/standards.

- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T.

- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

- OSHA 10/30-Hour General Industry Safety
