Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in various medical settings including dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality patient service and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and performing intake assessments.
  • Assist with medication administration and ensure accurate documentation in EHR systems.
  • Conduct basic life support as needed and maintain a safe environment for patients.
  • Support medical staff in various procedures, including X-ray and emergency medicine tasks.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to assist in patient evaluations.
  • Engage with patients to provide exceptional service and address their needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in inpatient and outpatient settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic or hospital environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in medical-surgical care, geriatrics, internal medicine, and pediatric intensive care (PICU).

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
  • Experience in dermatology, urgent care, or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and understanding of ICD coding is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or trauma centers.
  • Previous experience in outpatient clinics or operating rooms (OR) is a plus.
