Job Title: Commercial Trucking Claim Specialist
Department: Risk Management
Reports to: Liz Leahy Pay Grade: Salary
Job Summary:
This position will handle Commercial Auto/Trucking first party claims. You will be required to investigate, evaluate estimates, negotiate with repair shops, and resolve claims of a more complex nature including litigations with a focus on minimizing exposure to the Company. Duties/Responsibilities:
· Investigation of claims, analysis of accident scenes, and assigning experts and independent adjusters as needed.
· Evaluate and settle physical damage and total loss claims.
· Review and negotiate tow and storage bills.
· Review and evaluate estimates and negotiate with repair shops as needed.
· Promptly communicate with insured and provide outstanding service.
· Ensure timely response to litigation filings, subpoenas, and legal motions.
· Negotiate final resolution with claimants or their legal representatives.
· Review and process justified claim and litigation expenses.
· Identify potential fraud indicators for potential SIU assignment.
· Subrogation investigations, and salvage disposal.
· Obtain settlement agreements, approved releases, or suit dismissals on claim resolutions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong analytical abilities to review, exercise judgment, and evaluate claim information to make sound decisions
· Strong ability to act with confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
· Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Google, and ability to learn new systems as required
· Ability to review and interpret complex and detailed documents
· Thorough knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claim procedures, insurance regulations, litigation management, and familiarity with medical and legal terminology
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years related experience required
Active Adjusters License
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
