About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide hands-on technical support for our manufacturing operations in East Hartford, CT. This role plays a key part in ensuring all machinery and facility systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in alignment with continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in mechanical and electrical systems using technical manuals, diagrams, and test equipment.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records for all preventive maintenance activities.
  • Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve equipment uptime and efficiency.
  • Repair and maintain facilities, including HVAC systems, lighting, painting, and remodeling as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment and process issues quickly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen) and contribute to process optimization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, writing, and typing.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, occasionally exposed to varying temperatures (0–120°F), dust, or noise.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection or respirator when necessary.
