Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk & End-User Support Specialist to provide front-line technical assistance and ensure a seamless IT experience for our employees. This role combines traditional help desk functions with hands-on support for desktop, laptop, and end-user technology systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and committed to delivering exceptional service across a variety of IT platforms and tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to end-user requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, system, and network connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Manage driver updates, hardware replacements, and consumable supplies.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory and related systems. Manage access rights, group memberships, and credential resets in accordance with security policies.
  • Provide user support for Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other M365 applications. Assist with installation and troubleshooting of software applications and updates.
  • Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot Zoom, Teams Rooms, and other video conferencing systems.
  • Guide users through technical solutions and best practices to improve productivity and security. Create and maintain user documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate purchasing and tracking of end-user IT equipment and software. Work with vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of IT needs.
  • Follow established escalation procedures for complex issues and collaborate with higher-level IT staff to achieve resolution. Ensure compliance with service level standards for response time and quality.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support environment preferred (internships or coursework may be considered).
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
