As a Product Designer, you will be a part of every product that we make. You will work closely with engineers, marketing, and management teams to create innovative products that make walking faster, more efficient, and more accessible. Your designs will be integral to ensuring people globally can become more active and less reliant on traditional transportation methods. Our company's mission is to make the world a more walkable place by providing intuitive personal mobility devices. Our flagship product, Moonwalkers, has revolutionized the way people walk, by making it easier than ever to go further distances without the physical strain. Additionally, it has allowed greater accessibility for people who may not have been able to walk long distances before. We truly believe in the power of personal mobility devices to promote health, reduce traffic congestion, and make mainstream walking an accessible choice.

Responsibilities
  • Product development in the form of 2D visualizations and 3D computer models and renderings.
  • Develop and design product prototypes with hands-on design work required
  • Create and update technical drawings/3d files for production
  • Create and update CMF documents
  • Evaluate design concepts through user testing and iterate based on feedback
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for production
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure that product designs align with target customer needs
  • Stay informed on emerging design trends and techniques within the industry
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product design, preferably in the automotive/consumer product/footwear industry
  • Basic understanding of core mechanical engineering principles
  • Design for Manufacturing experience (Injection molding, casting, machining)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Design, etc.)
  • 3D Modeling (Parametric CAD - Solidworks, Fusion 360, etc.)
  • 3D Rendering (Blender, Keyshot, Maya, Rhino, etc.)
  • Sketching/Whiteboarding (efficiently explaining ideas)
  • Ability to build low-fidelity prototypes and an understanding of production methods and prototyping processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • A portfolio demonstrating your design process and product design abilities is required
