Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections, providing detailed product demos when needed
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
  • Upsell products and accessories by understanding customer needs and highlighting relevant features to enhance their shopping experience
  • Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with the latest products
  • Conduct stock replenishment, inventory counts, and organize stockroom areas to support smooth store operations
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting remote customers
  • Support the team by supervising new staff members, sharing best practices in customer service and sales techniques

Experience

  • Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customer groups
  • Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous for understanding product placement and customer needs
  • Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members alike
  • Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership development within retail settings
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos will help you excel in this role
