Responsibilities

Technica has an exciting opportunity to join our team in providing Information Technology Services to the FBI's Information Management Division (IMD). This program is responsible for managing the development and maintenance of the Information Technology (IT) Systems supporting the Enterprise Vetting Center (EVC) within IMD.  We are looking for a Senior Computer Scientist who manages, communicates, and contributes to enterprise architecture efforts, engineering trade-off analysis and feasibility studies, proof-of-concept prototypes to explore technical implementation options and issues, engineering reviews, technical design and implementation bringing commercial best practices to bear.

  • Acts as part of a cross functional team, architect and design end-to-end cloud computing solutions to address customer technical challenges.
  • Works as a strong individual contributor, provide thought leadership and technical subject matter expertise and advance capability for the Department domain knowledge and capabilities that align with strategic/significant sponsor needs and challenges.
  • Contributes to the technical work program of one or more projects and provides technical guidance and quality products focused on successful outcomes.
This position is located at the FBI facility in Winchester, VA. For select positions, the FBI may locate the position in Washington, D.C., however that will be determined by the customer. The government has established policies for on-site vs remote work which varies across divisions and contracts. Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time. Where allowed, hybrid work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.
Requirements
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance w/SCI and CI Poly or ability to obtain CI Poly. 
  • Bachelors' Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years related work experience.
  • Proven experience managing, communicating, and contributing to enterprise architecture efforts, engineering trade-off analysis and feasibility studies, proof-of-concept prototypes to explore technical implementation options and issues, engineering reviews, technical design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated skills in architecting and designing end-to-end cloud computing solutions to address customer technical challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
