We are looking for an enthusiastic server who will provide an excellent guest dining experience.

Work 2-3 evenings per week-Friday and Saturday a must

Bartender skills a plus

Responsibilities of our Server

· Interact with customer as a server, take orders and serve drinks

· Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations

· Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

· Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

· Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

· Comply with all food and beverage regulations as a server or bartender

Skills of our Server

· Resume and proven working experience as a server

· Computer literacy

· Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

· Ability to keep the bar and dining room organized, stocked and clean

· Relevant training certificate

ABOUT GATEWAY LODGE RESTAURANT & BAR

We are a Farm-to-Forest Restaurant with an emphasis on sourcing locally, organically and sustainably. Our focus is on creating a memorable dining experience, with food simply prepared, lightly seasoned, responsive to dietary needs, and leaving guests full and satisfied because of the quality of their meal and not the quantity. All preparations are made on site.

We feature a wine list that has been recognized with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for over 10 consecutive years. As bartender knowledge of beer, and wine helpful.

We cater primarily to our Lodge guests, but also have a substantial off-site clientele. We have a dozen special events throughout the year, and often host weddings, business meetings, and family celebrations.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in POS systems

- Strong customer service skills with a focus on upselling and sales

- Experience in food handling, food safety, and food service

- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

- Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
