The Data Entry Team Lead at HOYA Vision Care supports the Stockroom Supervisor in overseeing daily operations within the data entry department at the Dallas Lab. This position involves leading, mentoring, and developing employees to achieve goals related to safety, quality, cost, and timely delivery. The Team Lead coordinates workflow, monitors employee performance, enforces company policies, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include analyzing production data, identifying performance gaps, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability. The role also focuses on maintaining product quality, supporting customer satisfaction, and ensuring efficient communication between departments. Candidates should possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with at least three years of supervisory or related experience—preferably in an optical or production setting. A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
1. Leadership and Supervision
- Assist the supervisor in mentoring, coaching, and developing employees.
- Oversee team performance and ensure goals for safety, quality, and productivity are met.
- Promote positive morale and teamwork within the department.
- Enforce schedules, estimate labor needs, and assign daily tasks.
2. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Prevent incidents involving employees and property.
- Support corrective actions and continuous safety improvements.
3. Quality Management
- Train employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Monitor processes to ensure products meet company quality expectations.
- Identify and correct issues impacting product quality.
4. Production and Delivery
- Coordinate workflows to meet customer and production deadlines.
- Monitor performance metrics and address gaps to meet targets.
- Analyze root causes and develop countermeasures for delays.
5. Employee Development and Administration
- Supervise employees assigned to special accounts.
- Provide feedback and guidance to enhance performance.
- Support cross-department collaboration and weekend operations when needed.
6. Customer Service and Communication
- Ensure customer needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with other supervisors, departments, and management.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and team performance.
- Encourage employee engagement and professional growth.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an optical or production environment.
- Experience enforcing safety and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate employee activities.
- Skilled in reading and analyzing charts, work orders, and production schedules.
- Experience in planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production goals.
- Ability to collaborate with supervisors and managers across departments.
- Experience resolving employee issues and promoting teamwork.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
Knowledge and Skills:
