As a grassroots Montessori preschool, we are built on a foundation of community, collaboration, and a deep respect for children and their natural curiosity. Our goal is to provide a peaceful, engaging environment where children grow into confident, compassionate learners.

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education — and eager to learn about Montessori philosophy. No prior Montessori experience is required; we'll provide training and mentorship to help you grow into the role.

Position Overview

As our Lead Teacher, you'll help shape our children's house program and play a key role in building our school culture. You'll guide children through hands-on, purposeful learning while fostering independence, curiosity, and respect for others.

Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
  • Lead daily lessons and activities that inspire exploration and discovery
  • Model grace, patience, and respect in every interaction
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and school leadership
  • Communicate openly and warmly with families
  • Participate in Montessori training (if not yet certified)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with preschool-age children
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • A kind, curious, and collaborative spirit
  • Excitement about being part of a growing, grassroots school community

Schedule & Employment Type

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
