As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking a Electrical Service Estimator to join the FSG team.

As an Electrical Services Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for electrical service projects across commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. You will work closely with the sales, operations, and project management teams to provide competitive and profitable pricing for electrical service work, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.



Responsibilities

As an FSG Electrical Service Estimator, you will:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and scope requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to assess customer needs and project feasibility.
  • Work with field teams to gather site-specific data for accurate pricing.
  • Develop comprehensive estimates for electrical service work, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other project costs.
  • Source and negotiate pricing with material vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive estimates.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance with safety and industry standards.
  • Assist in proposal preparation, bid submissions, and customer presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, labor rates, and material cost fluctuations.
  • Support project teams with budgeting and forecasting for electrical service contracts.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, vendor pricing, and project cost data for future reference.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.
  • Electrical field experience is required.
  • Experience in cost estimation for electrical services or construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimating software.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for precise cost assessment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field.
  • Familiarity with electrical service contracts and maintenance agreements.
  • Experience working with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.
