Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team (_experienced in a restaurant not at home_).

As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, primarily using a flat grill and fryers. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a commercial kitchen, the ability to work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner rushes, and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time position with a fixed weekly schedule, excluding Sundays.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.

Operate and maintain cooking equipment, including the flat grill and fryers.

Ensure food is cooked evenly and meets quality and presentation standards.

Follow all sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely food preparation.

Clean and maintain the kitchen area, including filtering fryers, cleaning the flat top grill, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and dishwashing.

Adhere to established kitchen procedures and guidelines.

Maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Assist in the training of new kitchen staff when required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen.

Experience in cooking on a flat grill and fryers.

Ability to stay focused and work efficiently during lunch and dinner rushes.

Knowledge of sanitation procedures and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to adapt to kitchen procedures and follow instructions.

Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to start immediately and work a 6-day week schedule.
