Operating as a leader within Product Innovation Business Unit, you will oversee and manage a growing team as the Director of Product Innovation. This is a client-facing role that requires a high level of technical expertise in order to lead the requirements gathering and development aspects of Systems Engineering projects, including planning and execution of project budget, scheduling and resource management. Leadership duties extend to hiring and supporting ongoing professional development.

A critical aspect of the director-level role is to participate in Account Management and commercial leadership activities to drive business growth with new and existing clients.

The Director of Product Innovation will support Veranex's global team and other business units including Research and Strategy and Human Factors Engineering projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
Contribute during all phases of the product and service design process with particular emphasis on Systems Engineering design and developmentLead Systems Engineering team in all phases of systems engineering including: technical research process, systems-oriented design (defining and designing product architectures, functions, and uses); organization and distillment of evolving product requirements; concept generation and design engineeringLeverage experience and expertise to build relationships with clients, contribute to generation of project proposals, and close new project opportunitiesEffectively communicate with operations and project management teams in regard to workload and project pipeline managementLeading client communications on projects (speaking, writing, leading and participating in ideation sessions, delivering presentations)Manage resource allocation for Systems Engineering team and participate in cross-functional resource planning meetingsContribute to business unit goal setting, implement and track departmental and individual goals, and manage individual performance reviewsCollaboration with team members across the international locations and divisionsUphold standards of quality and integrity in execution of all deliverables, and in coordination with global Product Innovation group.Drive improvement and expansion of expertise, capabilities, and resourcesNurture a culture of innovation and excellence within Veranex's organizationSupport the leadership's strategic plans to grow the global reach and impact of Veranex's Systems Engineering service offering and value proposition.Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience leading human-centered design projects in the Medical Device industrySystems-oriented engineer with passion for holistically identifying and applying technical requirements into conceptual solutionsProven experience exploring and concepting technical systems, with an ability to a visualize and prototype concepts for evaluation and refinementComfortable with iterative processes and evolving program scopeExperience leading strategy and design of digital healthcare productsClear understanding of the medical device and healthcare delivery industryStrong client-service orientation with the ability to pro-actively recommend or rethink requests based on clients' needsDemonstrated understanding of business drivers, customer needs, and global dynamicsStrong team building skills, proven excellence in working in, and with, teamsWillingness to juggle several projects at once
