Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver delicious meals efficiently and consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in menu planning and food presentation to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas
  • Handle food safely, adhering to all food handling and sanitation regulations
  • Support food preparation activities including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Assist with catering events and special meal preparations as needed
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or accidents

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation
  • Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and fine dining service preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Kitchen experience in the food industry, including catering or serving, is desirable
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior culinary or culinary school experience is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
