Job Description: The Learning Experience – Clinton Hill (TLE – Clinton Hill) is seeking candidates for Lead Teachers (24 months- 36 months) for our play-based early childhood development center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn serving children from six weeks to five years of age.

Principal Areas of Responsibility:
  • Work as a full-time teacher hours a week) as part of a high-expectations, high-achievement performance culture that integrates best practice from New York City, New York State, and The Learning Experience.
  • Encourage positive engagement of students using play-based activities to develop all aspects of their mental, physical, and social beings.
  • Co-teach alongside staff members to develop and execute creatively on lesson plans focusing on diversity, social, and emotional learning, along with indoor and outdoor play, combining the arts and hands-on experiences
  • Perform all duties related to childcare including potty training, diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management as per program needs.

Required Credentials: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study (
    • Elementary Education, Nursery to 6th Grade Elementary Education, Special Education, Students With Disabilities, Birth to 2nd Grade
    • Students With Disabilities, 1st to 6th Grade, Child Psychology*, Child Development*

    •General Education*) and two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a preschool program
  • Study Plan to obtain your bachelors degree in early childhood education for meeting the requirements of 1 or 2 within seven years and meet additional eligibility requirements set forth by Article 47
  • 1-3 years experience as a teacher for children under six years old.
  • Familiarity with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Article 47 regulation
