Frontend Deployed Engineer

Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY (100% On-site)

Compensation: $170,000 - $230,000 (Base Salary) + Equity

We are a high-growth, venture-backed startup solving a core pain point for software companies: making APIs easy to use and well-documented. Our product is inspired by internal tooling seen at industry leaders, enabling businesses to offer "Stripe-level" SDKs (client libraries) and Docs for their REST APIs. We are seeking an ambitious Frontend Deployed Engineer to partner directly with our fast-growing tech customers, helping us scale the company from $1M to $10M ARR.

This is a high-impact role at the critical intersection of engineering and customer success, ideal for individuals with entrepreneurial goals. You'll be the primary technical face to our customers, driving both product solutions and our strategic roadmap.

In this role, you will:

• Customer Partnership: Establish direct, consultative relationships with customers (CTOs, VPs of Eng, Software Engineers), serving as the technical first point of contact and quickly building a network within the SaaS startup community.
• Problem Solving: Go deep on customer use cases, identifying their highest-priority problems and immediately building the relevant products and features to solve them.
• Rapid Development: Move fast by working across several codebases, including our core product and customer-facing tools, to release bug fixes and new features (e.g., fixing a bug in our TypeScript SDK generator one day and adding features to the Docs Frontend the next).
• Product Strategy: Drive our product roadmap by synthesizing customer requests and friction points into actionable, high-leverage engineering efforts, helping us "build something people want."
• Team Building: Work directly with the CEO, CTO, and other founding members to interview and bring in talented new engineers as we grow.

Requirements

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Mindset: Entrepreneurial mindset and highly motivated to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Customer Focus: Proven ability or strong desire to engage directly with technical customers to understand their needs and solve their problems.
• Adaptability: A demonstrated ability to quickly jump between different codebases and technical challenges.
• Background (Ideal): Experience as a forward-deployed engineer or a former/future founder is highly valued.
