Job responsibilities include on-site coordination of all phases of construction projects including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent is also responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety.
Superintendent may perform duties at multiple job sites simultaneously.
Essential functions & major responsibilities of Superintendent:
• Perform Quality Control of the work
• Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure schedule adherence timely completion
• Communicate with project team regarding RFI's and material submittals
• Ensure subcontractors is fully implementing and complying with his contracted scope of work
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to team for resolution.
• Maintain written daily log of activities on the site
• Ensure subcontractor correction of identified deficient workmanship
• Continuously monitor daily construction activities
• Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work
• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work of schedule
• Ensure the job-site is always kept secure, safe, clean and organized
• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and competition.
