Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. This role provides essential support to licensed physical therapists and our front office in an outpatient orthopedic setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in healthcare, excellent patient service skills, and a foundational understanding of anatomy and physiology. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in a clinical environment, contributing to patient recovery and rehabilitation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and preparation for therapy sessions
  • Support front office with scheduling patients & maintaining a busy schedule
  • Perform clerical tasks: greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, collecting payments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
  • Help with documentation and administrative tasks related to patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist with equipment sterilization and maintenance
  • Provide compassionate patient service, addressing patient questions and comfort needs
  • Support the clinical team in managing outpatient caseloads, including orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatric care cases

Skills

  • Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy
  • Experience or familiarity with hospital, outpatient, or clinic environments is preferred
  • Understanding of outpatient, and hospital medicine settings
  • Prior experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient care and safety
  • Basic organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
