Come work with a woman and therapist run company Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessionals in the North St. Paul, MN area for the school year. These Paraprofessionals will be working in a Transition Program supporting students ages 18-22 as they gain independent living and employment skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Position: Special Education Paraprofessional
  • Transition Program (ages 18-22)
  • Full-time positions
  • Support students working on independent living skills and employment skills
  • Assist in implementing student Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), 504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and sensory plans
  • Work under the direction of a licensed teacher

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, or 2 years post secondary and at least 60 completed credits OR
  • Paraprofessional Credential through Minnesota Department of Education (such as passing score on ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessments or credentialed on the PELSB rubric)
  • Previous experience working in the school setting preferred
