Empowering Technology Solutions (ETS) is seeking a full-time Junior Systems Administrator to provide exceptional support to our clients in the Tacoma, Washington area. Based in our Tacoma office, this role operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional after-hours on-call support. Ideal candidates are passionate about IT, have one or more years of technical experience, and excel in customer service. Brief Job Description:

As the Junior Systems Administrator, your primary focus will be delivering remote and onsite technical support to our customers in Tacoma. In addition, you will perform secondary technical tasks for all other zones including but not limited to remote break fix, asset management and sales investigations.

ETS is a fast-paced and growing managed security and service provider. Services we deliver to customers include managed IT support, 24x7 outsourced SOC, endpoint and email security, cloud hosting, voice over IP, full network stacks, and data backup and disaster recovery. We are a Microsoft modern work specialized solution partner, a Sophos Gold partner, and hold many customer service and growth awards. ETS has customers throughout the United States across many industries and has a strong customer base in the Hawaiian Islands.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Provide advanced technical knowledge with an understanding for managing multiple diverse environments.
  • Deliver enterprise level technical support covering a wide breadth of technical matters including hardware, software, networking, and backups.
  • Design, plan and implement technical solutions including meeting with clients and managing technical resources as needed.
  • Solve problems. All our Administrators must have a passion for customer service and solving problems the correct way first. While being able to understand when to escalate to more senior Administrators with a detailed description of tasks and steps already executed for a soft handoff.
  • Provide award winning customer service and enjoy being the hero for our customers.

Required:

  • Minimum of 1 year of technical experience
  • Basic understanding of small/medium business technology and business acumen
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience creating technology analysis documents, instructions, and process documentation
  • Proactive communicator with entry levels of staff. Being able to hand off details to management for mid to executive level staff, while maintaining the ability to maintain open communication with others
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, with strong time management and deadline adherence
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to shifting needs, and use time-tracking tools
  • Embraces accountability and encourages it in others
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite client visits

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Managed IT experience in technical roles
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki, NinjaRMM, ConnectWise Manage, ITGlue, Sophos, 3CX, BCDR (Axcient/Datto), and Acronis
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN, Layer 2/3 networking, Multicast, QoS, Security, VPN, SSL VPN, IPSec VPN
  • Experience with VMware, HyperV, and Azure-hosted virtual environments
  • Experience in Windows 11/10, Windows 2022/2019 Server, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft/Office 365, Exchange, Intune, Active Directory, Unifi, SonicwallOS
