Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 01 Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety practices, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand electrical layouts and specifications.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Work on high voltage systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and functionality.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

  • Proficient in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills for interpreting electrical plans.
  • Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety practices.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in various systems.
  • Ability to handle high voltage installations safely and effectively.
  • Skills in renovation projects related to electrical systems.
  • General maintenance person skills with experience in frame carpentry considered an asset.
  • Previous experience as an industrial electrician is preferred.

Base Pay: $ $64.00 per hour
