Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide and/or Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. In this role, your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, maintaining a clean and organized treatment area, and ensuring that all equipment is ready for use. This position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, particularly in geriatrics, orthopedics, or acute care settings. The job consist of using Physical Therapy Modalities ( Muscle Stim, Ultrasound) and Manual Therapy and Soft Tissue Massage ( Our doctors will help you learn many techniques)
Responsibilities
- Assist Physical therapists/Chiropractor during treatment sessions by preparing patients and equipment.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
- Document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Ensure that all medical terminology is understood and applied correctly during patient interactions.
- Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient records as needed.
- Foster a positive environment for patients by providing encouragement and support throughout their therapy sessions.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in geriatrics or orthopedics, is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience in hospital medicine or acute care environments will be considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- A commitment to providing excellent patient care and supporting the rehabilitation process.
