Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in a fast-paced hospital setting. Under the supervision of the Surgeon or Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist assists in a variety of surgical procedures including neuro/spine, orthopedic, pain management, and other specialized surgeries.

The ideal candidate is a dependable, team-oriented professional who takes pride in precision, demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, and maintains patient safety and aseptic standards throughout all procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scrubbing and assisting duties within the sterile field during surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team by efficiently passing instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly maintained, sterilized, and functioning before each procedure.
  • Assist in draping patients and establishing sterile fields while maintaining aseptic technique.
  • Verify instrument and sharp counts with circulating nurses and document accurately.
  • Participate in operating room setup, cleaning, and turnover between cases.
  • Support and comply with all infection control, safety, and quality assurance policies.
  • Maintain professionalism, composure, and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
  • Display adaptability and eagerness to learn new surgical techniques and technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Diploma or Certification from an accredited Surgical Technology program (required).
  • Associate Degree in Surgical Technology (preferred).
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification (required).
  • CPR and BLS Certification (required).

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Neuro/Orthopedic surgery (required).
  • 2–3 years of experience in Neuro/Ortho (preferred).
  • Experience in spine and robotic surgeries highly desirable.
