is seeking a
Senior Accounting Assistant
to work in the Canton, OH area.

This is a
long-term

Job Profile Summary
The Senior Accounting Clerk provides general accounting and clerical support within the assigned Accounting Department. Responsibilities include managing customer billings, remittances, invoices, and other accounting transactional data.

Basic proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
is required.

Familiarity with
PeopleSoft, Brainware/OnBase, and ServiceNow
is preferred.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare, process, and review recurring accounting transactions such as incoming and outgoing invoices, remittance advices, and customer payments while exercising independent judgment.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to recurring accounting transactions.
  • Assist in reviewing general ledger account activity for accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to general data requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Develop and cultivate a positive business relationship between Accounting and other business partners.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Minimum Requirements
Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required with 8 years of accounting experience.
  • Associate degree in Business or Accounting preferred with 5 years of accounting experience.

Experience:

  • In-depth experience with accounting transactional data, invoice processing, demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work environment.
  • In the Remittance Processing department, employees may be required to stand for extended periods (up to 50% of the time) and lift up to 25 pounds.

Schedule:

  • Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
