Reports To: Director of Operations
Schedule: Part-time; approximately 20–25 hours per week
Hours: Weekdays, typically 1:00–6:00 PM during afterschool program hours.
Some morning hours may be required for staff trainings or management meetings.
Position Overview
We are seeking a committed and energetic Part-Time Site Director to lead one of our afterschool program sites. The Site Director is responsible for managing daily on-site operations, supporting youth development staff, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all participants. This is a leadership role ideal for someone passionate about youth development and looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity during the school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily program operations during afterschool hours.
- Supervise and support Youth Development Specialists and group leaders.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all youth participants.
- Coordinate daily schedules, enrichment activities, and transitions.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for families, school staff, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure incident reports and safety protocols are completed as needed.
- Build and maintain a positive site culture rooted in respect, accountability, and youth voice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree or equivalent experience in youth development, education, or related field will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with children or youth in a school or community-based setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a strong plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be present during afterschool hours and attend occasional morning meetings.
- DYCD fingerprint clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, and Mandated Reporter training (or willingness to obtain) required.
