ABOUT US:

ISAT Total Support /Tomarco is a leading provider of seismic engineering consulting services and the related products and hardware used for nonstructural seismic bracing and the support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping systems. Our focus is geared toward building utility systems within the commercial and industrial construction markets. Our primary focus includes but is not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, piping, distributed electrical systems, plumbing, process piping & fire protection contractors.

Headquartered in Southern California, ISAT also has offices in Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Georgia, North Carolina, Chicago, Atlanta, New Zealand, New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. Additional expansion is expected.

Responsible for producing components and/or using components, parts and subassemblies to produce products

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Primary Technical Contact: Be the self-directed technical point of contact for all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Project Tracking: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and timely delivery of all work.
  • Training: Assist in training new modelers and project managers at the branch.
  • Field Training and Support: Provide jobsite seismic bracing training and support for installers, Junior PMs, and detailers.
  • Quote Generation: Collaborate with sales and branch PMs to develop scope of work forms and quotations for seismic services.
  • Technical Field Support: Represent ISAT in face-to-face meetings, providing technical support for clients, including OSHPD and AHJ-related issues.
  • Code Knowledge: Apply advanced understanding of building codes (IBC, ACI, ASCE, OSHPD) to assist project teams with their tasks.
  • Product Knowledge: Manage multiple projects involving ISAT products, creating solutions and documenting new applications.
  • Knowledge Beyond the Manual: Develop custom bracing solutions beyond those specified in the ISAT manual.
  • Retrofit Management: Manage retrofit projects, including site surveys, documentation, and coordination of calculations for suspended utilities and floor-mounted equipment.
  • Large-Scale Project Support: Provide support for large-scale projects outside your local market when needed.
  • Ingenuity and Innovation: Show self-motivation, resourcefulness, and the ability to develop custom submittals and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate in various formats (transmittals, follow-up emails, etc.), ensuring all project communications are documented in project folders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager in seismic design or related industry.
  • Expertise in interpreting building codes and technical procedures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, Staad, Mathcad, VBA, and/or ARX programming.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with managers, clients, and customers.
  • Knowledge of key codes: ASCE, ACI, NDS, AISC, IBC, CBC, UFC.
  • Ability to develop custom submittals and bracing solutions not covered by manuals.
  • Strong understanding of OSHPD, DSA, and California-specific building codes.
  • Background check required for employment.
