Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Staff Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for a variety of projects, including system design, PCB layout, FPGA development, and integration of complex electronic solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical systems, CAD tools, firmware development, and mechanical knowledge to support multidisciplinary projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as quantum engineering, vision inspection systems, and programmable logic controllers within a collaborative environment focused on innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and PCB layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
  • Develop FPGA designs utilizing SystemVerilog and Simulink for high-performance applications.
  • Implement system design integrating SoC architectures and ARM processors for various electronic products.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot electrical issues in prototypes and manufacturing environments.
  • Perform signal processing and firmware development using Python, C++, MATLAB, Perl, and scripting languages.
  • Develop control algorithms for analog front-end circuits
  • Support hardware bring-up and troubleshooting
  • Support firmware and system integration and testing
  • Apply risk assessment, failure analysis, and root-cause analysis as required
  • Ensure all design activities and documents meet regulatory and QMS requirements

Experience

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on system design, PCB layout, FPGA development, or firmware engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA programming (SystemVerilog), signal processing, soldering (surface mount technology), and debugging electronic systems.
  • Familiar with mainstream FPGAs and development tools
  • Strong RTL coding skills; experience with VHDL and Verilog
  • Familiar with embedded interface protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37.01 per hour

Work Location: In person
