Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto service management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring efficient operations. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage a team of service technicians while maintaining high standards of service quality.

Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supervise and mentor service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including auto estimating and service writing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service area.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a dealership environment or auto service management role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, including transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, alignment, suspension, tire service, engine repair, shocks & struts, and brake systems to name a few.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers.
  • Experience in sales and upselling services is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90, $140,000.00 per year
