For the Deli Caterer, this means preparing and packaging catering orders accurately and attractively, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and ensuring every customer interaction is handled with professionalism, efficiency, and a friendly attitude.
Your Day-to-Day
Ensure that customers receive the best customer service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable serviceTake catering orders in person or by phone and assist customers with any questions about their ordersPrepare all catering orders in a timely fashion, ensuring fresh product and presentation meets Adams' standardsCreate and set up specialty and custom plattersCoordinate catering deliveries with the office and other departments as necessaryWork on the deli floor when necessary, including safely slicing meats and cheeses to customer specificationsMaintain full knowledge of deli products, pricing, and sale items, and ensure cases are well-stocked and rotated for freshnessKeep all areas of the department clean, organized, and sanitized, including equipment, preparation, and sales areasWhat you bring to the Farm
Knowledge on pricing and offers for all catering itemsWillingness to learn the full operations of the Catering Department as a wholeExcellent customer service for our customer over the phone and at the counterAbility to demonstrate and set the example for Adams' culture and valuesWillingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managersExhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams' products and qualityWorking Conditions
Must be at least 18 years oldSafely operate Deli slicers and other tools/equipment necessary to complete catering orders and tasksConsistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to remain in a stationary position for duration of shiftOccasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladderRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shiftCommunicate with others to exchange informationMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spacesPerks of the Job

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions – including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $ $25.90. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
