Goodyear, Arizona, United States Quetico Arizona, LLC Full time
Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly responsible person to join our team as an Inventory Clerk in our 3PL warehouse. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and efficient inventory management processes and be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, ensuring proper stock organization, and facilitating the timely movement of goods throughout the warehouse. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
    • Inventory Management: Regularly update and maintain inventory records using appropriate software systems or manual tracking methods. Conduct accurate stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and keep track of stock movement, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Cycle Counts: Conduct regular cycle counts of selected inventory items as per the established schedule. This involves physically counting a specific subset of items in the warehouse on a frequent basis to verify their accuracy against the recorded inventory levels. Resolve any discrepancies found during cycle counts and update the inventory records accordingly. The cycle counting process helps identify and rectify discrepancies in inventory data, leading to improved accuracy and minimizing the need for extensive, time-consuming, and disruptive annual physical inventory counts.
  • Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with the warehouse team to replenish stock for pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Stock Organization: Organize inventory in a systematic manner to optimize storage space and ease of retrieval. Apply appropriate labeling and categorization methods to facilitate quick identification and minimize errors.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that inventory is in good condition, and monitor expiration dates for perishable items or products with limited shelf life.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, stock levels, and any inventory-related issues. Generate regular reports on inventory status, movement, and trends for management review.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including warehouse associates, supervisors, and managers, to streamline inventory processes and maintain a cohesive warehouse environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while handling inventory, including proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance inventory management processes, propose improvements, and participate in initiatives to optimize warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills/Abilities and Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework or certifications in inventory management or related fields is a plus.
  • 2 years prior experience as an inventory clerk, warehouse associate, equipment operator or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage inventory accurately and efficiently.
  • A keen eye for detail to identify discrepancies, potential errors, and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Experience with a WMS system is a must. Experience with Da Vinci Unified WMS system is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills to interact with team members and record inventory data effectively. Spanish a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with inventory management software, and the ability to adapt to new digital tools.
  • The role involves standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects. Physical fitness is necessary to perform these tasks safely.
  • Willingness to be trained and certified to use warehouse powered equipment such as order pickers. Existing certification is a plus.
  • A cooperative attitude and the ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
