Tipton Hurst is seeking an individual to join our Floral Design Team to create arrangements that evoke emotions in individuals such as happiness, love, joy, comfort, appreciation or maybe nostalgia. At Tipton Hurst, you'll have access to a large variety of flowers arriving weekly and have the opportunity to contribute to our seasonal collections. This is part time position that can lead to full time and we're also interested in individuals who may want to work as an Independent Contractor as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

§ Create floral designs incorporating effective and innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels, and accent materials, while meeting established criteria for Tipton & Hurst design styles.

§ Develop a working understanding of the basic Tipton & Hurst Styles of design and accurately create gift line designs based on established standards.

§ Provide outstanding customer service in the Tipton & Hurst Way - "Guaranteed Satisfaction Since 1886."

§ Assist clients with floral and accessory product selection and design floral and plant products based on skill and experience level.

§ Care and handle all our products including fresh flowers, plants, silk flowers, floral supplies, gifts, tabletops, interior décor, and accessories.

§ Assist in unpacking flower shipment, processing flowers and cleaning water buckets.

§ Assist in floor displays and seasonal décor design both fresh and silk.

§ Enthusiasm, positivity, and a passion for taking care of people are essential.

§ 2+ years of custom floral design experience.

§ Design studio is desired but not required; equivalent studio/visual arts or visual merchandising background may be considered.

§ Ability to work effectively as a member of a team-oriented environment.

§ Strong interpersonal skills, with a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation

§ Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.

§ Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

§ Flexible schedule required, including regular weekend availability.

§ Peak business periods will require extended workdays and work weeks.
