Clinical Research Nurse – Diabetes (Part-Time, Onsite)

Pay Rate:
$50–$55/hr

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Research Nurse (RN) to support an innovative Phase II clinical trial focused on the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes. This role involves working directly with both pediatric (8+) and adult participants as part of a small, collaborative research team conducting early-morning study visits.

Position Highlights

  • Part-time, 32 hours/week (up to 40 hours/week)
  • 100% onsite
  • Early morning schedule (typically starting at 7:00 AM, Monday–Friday)

  • Work closely with physicians, research coordinators, and lab staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate participant enrollment, study visits, and protocol-driven procedures.
  • Perform highly skilled IV insertions and blood draws, including daily venipuncture for children ages 8–20.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation for all study activities and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate participants and families on study protocols and adjust communication based on age-specific needs.
  • Prepare, process, and ship biological specimens in accordance with protocol.
  • Collaborate with the research team to ensure smooth workflow and complete coverage for participant visits.
  • Record data and communicate clinical findings to investigators.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and ongoing study audits.
  • Maintain strict adherence to FDA and Good Clinical Practice standards.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure.
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including IV placement and blood draws in both adult and pediatric populations.
  • 3–5 years of total RN experience preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Clinical research experience and/or Type 1 Diabetes experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attendance, communication skills, and attention to detail required.
