This job requisition is specifically for students interested in a Summer 2026 Tax Internship. Interns can anticipate a late May start date and a late July/early August end date.

Job Summary and QualificationsThe Corporate Tax department consists of approximately 60 employees who play a significant role at HCA Healthcare. Preparing the consolidated federal income tax return is only a part of what they do. Their multi-disciplined department works in areas including Tax Compliance, Research & Consulting, IRS Audit Management, International Tax, SALT Practice, Indirect Tax, and Tax Credits & Incentives. HCA Healthcare's Corporate Tax Internship program offers real-life, hands-on training and experience to prepare students for a career within the healthcare tax accounting industry. These internship opportunities are available year-round within our Tax Compliance, Indirect Tax, and Tax Credit & Incentives groups.
What you will do in this role:
- Tax Compliance interns are responsible for portions of the federal/state income and franchise tax returns
- Indirect Tax interns are involved in tax return preparation, audit support, and other special projects
- Research & Consulting interns assist with state income/franchise tax audits and research of tax related issues
- You will receive the same training as full-time tax staff members
- You will be offered the experience of working with multiple reviewers which provides a rich learning environment
What qualifications you will need:
- Present enrollment in an accredited 4-year accounting or related program OR acceptance into a related master's program upon undergraduate graduation
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Current juniors, seniors, or master's students preferred
- CPA eligibility is not required but is preferred
- Ability to work in-person full-time the duration of the Summer internship
