Job description:

The Real Network Services is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for estimating costs for projects identified by the development and electrical teams, including labor, materials, rental equipment, and subcontractor bids. While the primary focus is on the pre-construction phase, this position also supports operations after project award to ensure full understanding of the scope of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate project costs by analyzing plans, bills of materials, and all provided documentation.
  • Research, source, negotiate, and obtain competitive prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Analyze data impacting project costs, including labor crew sizes, efficiencies, and timelines.
  • Assess financial, technical, and operational risks.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information as needed.
  • Stay informed on current construction technologies, industry regulations, and code requirements.
  • Participate in bid/no-bid discussions with the project team.
  • Collaborate closely with estimators, leadership, operations teams, clients, and suppliers.
  • Maintain detailed records, follow file storage and tracking procedures, and prepare necessary reports.
  • Take initiative by volunteering for new tasks and supporting other departments when needed.
  • Continue to expand knowledge of electrical systems and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant education, training, or demonstrated work ethic in the electrical or construction fields.
  • Electrical trade experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and submittals.
  • Proficiency with software such as MS Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, and related estimating tools.
  • Experience performing detailed takeoffs.
  • Strong understanding of numerical data and mathematical formulas.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, team-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Awareness of current marketplace trends and the construction industry.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience estimating electrical construction projects.
  • Familiarity with project management workflows.

Pay: $80, $150,000.00 per year
