Storage Rack Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced High-Pile Fire Engineer or Fire Technician to prepare high-pile storage submittals, fire-code reports, and AutoCAD drawings for jurisdictions across the United States. This is a remote per-diem position with flexible hours and steady project-based work.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare High-Pile Storage Permit packages for cities nationwide
- Perform commodity classification, hazard analysis, and fire-code calculations based on local requirements
- Produce AutoCAD high-pile layout drawings
- Coordinate with internal engineers, clients, and city plan reviewers
- Ensure compliance with IFC and city-specific high-pile standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with High-Pile Storage, fire prevention requirements, or fire protection engineering
- Strong AutoCAD skills (required)
- Knowledge of IFC High-Pile Storage regulations
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- PE license not required—experience with high-pile is most important
Compensation:
- $80-$100 per hour (per diem / project-based)
- Remote, flexible work
- Opportunity for ongoing long-term assignments across all 50 states
