J Sterling's Spa is a family owned rapidly growing spa chain in Orlando with 5 locations in Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary and Clermont and South Orlando.
We are hiring for Spa Manager for our very busy ALTAMONTE AND LAKEMARY locations.
Responsibilities:
- Have or develop interest into & get passionate about spa services - massage, facial, waxing, laser hair removal.
- Train, lead, support, monitor, review, and reward the performance of spa associates
- Fill-in as spa associate at any of 5 locations when someone is sick, on leave, or position is being filled in
- Available to work 6 days in a week.
- Handle communications from clients, associates, therapist, and business owners
- Handle administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling, inventory, and reporting
- Handle client issues urgently thru phone, email, and public review systems
- Handle staff vacation requests by looking for replacements to fill the schedule
- Monitor associates' work to ensure that every possible appt is booked & no call/message goes unanswered & every client communication is handled in best possible manner
- Develop, Evaluate and Update various programs and procedures to be used & followed by associates & therapists for efficient operations of the spa business
- Engage in in-person marketing to retail businesses in the local area
- Help with those cleaning tasks across the premises that many people thinking "I have a desk job" don't want to do. We use the premises, we keep it clean. Front desk associates go only so far in cleaning; but shift lead take ownership, involve staff and yourself, and keep the premises cleaning.
- Be the source of information & provide primary support to staff on simple software & hardware issues such as: How to accomplish certain task in the booking system, Computer shutdown or slow or not working, Music not working, POS system not working
Skills Needed:
- Thinking fast on your feet to diffuse client and staff situations to maximize client satisfaction & minimize cost impact to business
- Really good with people - able to influence & inspire individuals to perform at their best possible
- Really good with technology, computers & experience with one or more appt booking software. The spa associates will rely on you to provide efficient support & solution to issues with hardware & software. DO NOT APPLY if you are not good with using computers and software.
- Efficient Multi-tasking: being able to refocus & operate efficiently when quickly jumping from one task to the other throughout the workday
- Flexible to work a few morning shifts and a few afternoon shifts
Skills Desired:
- Have basic understanding & knowledge of facility management - plumbing, HVAC, electric, computers. Have experience with simple tasks such as use plunger to alleviate a clogged toilet, change light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, change AC filters, fix simple things around the place with a screw driver & utility knife
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40, $50,000.00 per year
