Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Working Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in kitchen management, food production, and team leadership. This role requires a passion for culinary excellence, creativity in menu planning, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards. The Working Chef/Kitchen Manager will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service and delicious meals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Plan and create menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food service management, and hospitality skills.
  • Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during events and regular operations.
  • Supervise banquet services and catering operations as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area at all times.

Skills

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or restaurant management roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Expertise in food production, menu planning, and catering services.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Experience with inventory management and control processes.
  • Background in fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments is preferred.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a focus on quality presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus.
