Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Inventory Control Specialist
to support daily warehouse operations with a strong emphasis on accuracy, critical thinking, and technical proficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling inventory levels using computer-based inventory management systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, can troubleshoot discrepancies, and is comfortable learning and using warehouse software and related technology.

This position involves
regular forklift operation
to move, stage, and audit materials, ensuring all inventory transactions are completed safely and efficiently. The Inventory Control Specialist will collaborate closely with warehouse leadership to investigate variances, improve processes, and maintain a clean, organized, and well-documented workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and reconcile inventory levels within warehouse management and computer-based systems.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, stage, and audit inventory.
  • Investigate inventory variances and work with leadership to determine root causes.
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation of inventory movements and adjustments.
  • Support process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, labeling, and organizing materials as needed.
  • Ensure all inventory-related tasks meet safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company safety guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Computer proficient; comfortable working with inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Ability to learn new software, tools, and technology quickly.
  • Certified or willing to be certified in forklift operation.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed (e.g., up to 50 lbs).
