Job Description

Optomi, in partnership with one of our their top clients is seeking a highly experienced
Lead UI Engineer
to drive the design and development of enterprise-scale frontend solutions across multiple platforms. You'll lead a portfolio of UI technology projects and guide a team of frontend developers in building reusable UI frameworks, component libraries, and scalable solutions.

This role emphasizes leadership in modern frontend architecture, reusable component design, and collaboration across cross-functional product teams to deliver performant, maintainable, and accessible applications.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

  • 8+ years of frontend development experience in enterprise environments
  • Advanced expertise in
    TypeScript,
    , and modern UI frameworks such as
    React, Vue, , or
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering
    reusable UI frameworks and component libraries
  • Deep understanding of
    frontend software architecture
    , including micro-frontends, Clean Code, and SOLID principles
  • Strong knowledge of
    state management

    performance optimization

    accessibility (WCAG)
    standards
  • Experience with
    server-side rendering
    , static site generation, and advanced frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, npm)
  • Hands-on experience with
    CI/CD pipelines

  • Expertise in
    testing methodologies
    including Jest, Cypress, and Testing Library
  • Familiarity with
    GraphQL

  • Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable frontend architectures across enterprise applications
  • Develop reusable UI frameworks, libraries, and templates supporting common platform needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Drive architectural decisions through the
    Architecture Decision Record (ADR)
    process
  • Implement advanced frontend engineering best practices, including performance tuning, SEO optimization, observability, and analytics instrumentation
  • Ensure UI components meet
    accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Mentor and guide frontend engineers to maintain high-quality development standards
  • Continuously improve frontend tools, frameworks, and workflows to accelerate delivery
