Role

This role is about cinematic clarity and speed that turns raw footage and assets into brand magic.

As the Creative Content Editor, you'll bring our stories to life across multiple brands within the FORDIVINE ecosystem: FORDIVINE, ItsEmily, Heritage Club, The Called & Crowned Show, and select VIP client personal brands.

You'll transform raw footage into 12-15 high-quality short-form videos per week, following pre-approved templates and creative direction from our team. You'll collaborate closely with our Content Producer, Executive Social Manager, and Emily Ford to ensure each video aligns with the visual and emotional language of FORDIVINE and its brands.

This is a fast-moving, high-touch creative partnership designed for someone who thrives in structure yet brings imaginative flair to every edit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Weekly Video Editing & Production

  • Edit 12–15 high-quality short-form videos per week for social media, using pre-approved templates/ideas as the base framework. (Ideally 2-3 a day)

  • Work within existing brand styles and structures while infusing creative storytelling and rhythm into each edit.

  • Own platform strategy (especially Instagram)Plan and execute strategies that boost engagement and growth, with a focus on Instagram.

  • Access and manage FORDIVINE's full vault of video footage, pulling clips that best match the story or message.

  • For brand-specific templates that require new footage, collaborate with our Content Producer to ensure seamless integration of her captured material.

  • Deliver final drafts on schedule, ready for team review and publishing.

2. Collaboration & Workflow Management

  • Attend in-person creative meetings and work collaboration 2 days per week at FORDIVINE House for alignment, brainstorming, and review sessions. (Irvine, CA)

  • Operate within the team's Asana production board, maintaining up-to-date task progress and deadlines for transparent workflow tracking.

  • Submit batches of completed edits weekly for group review with Emily and the creative team.

  • Implement revision notes and deliver updated versions within 24 hours of feedback (minor revisions expected).

  • Participate in weekly creative syncs to align on upcoming content, new templates, and evolving style direction.

3. Creative Autonomy & Excellence

  • Exercise strong storytelling instincts to sequence content for maximum engagement and emotion.

  • Pair footage, captions, and music that align with each brand's ethos and message tone.

  • Implement modern editing techniques, dynamic pacing, motion graphics, text animations, and transitions that elevate brand storytelling.

  • Proactively offer creative suggestions and trend insights that can strengthen future edits while keeping brand alignment intact.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in digital media, brand storytelling, or social-first environments.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve (Premiere preferred).

  • Strong understanding of short-form content for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

  • Ability to match pacing, tone, and emotion to each brand's voice and vision.

  • Familiarity with captioning, motion graphics, and sound design for social formats.

  • Excellent organization and workflow management within tools like Asana and Slack.

  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate fluidly with creative leads.

  • Local to Southern California with ability to work in-person at FORDIVINE House (Irvine, CA) 2 days per week.

Location & Schedule:

  • Hybrid: 2 days per week in-person at FORDIVINE House (Irvine, CA).

  • Remote work permitted the remainder of the week.

  • Must be available for real-time communication and revisions during normal business hours (PST).

Compensation:

  • $4,000/month retainer, paid bi-weekly.

  • Independent Contractor Role.

  • Opportunity to grow into a larger retainer/role as trust is built and content made wow's the team.

The purpose of this trial is to assess your editing style, eye for detail, and ability to execute within our brand ethos while maintaining creative flow.
