Job Title:

CNC Machinist- 2nd shift (3pm- 11pm, Mon-Fri)

Job Summary:

Perform machining operations within an AS9100D certified gas turbine repair/refurbishment facility for the energy, aerospace and defense sectors

Job Responsibilities:

· Read, understand and follow technical drawings and work instructions

· Cut and prepare raw stock for machining operations

· Setup tooling and work holding fixtures in mill and/or lathe machines

· Operate manual and CNC milling machines to meet technical drawing requirements

· Operate manual lathe machines to meet technical drawing requirements

· Verify machining operations using precision measuring instruments

· Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following safety policies while keeping work areas clean and organized

Job Requirements:

Basic understanding and experienced in machining for milling and turning operations

Basic understanding and experienced in operating band saws, sanders, pedestal grinders, etc.

Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)

Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Preferred (but not required):

Experience operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers

Experience with MasterCAM software

Experience with CNC machine programming
