Rhode Island Hot Yoga is a yoga studio and wellness center looking for part-time Licensed Massage Therapists. We are particularly looking for Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Saturday.

Starting pay rate is 40% of the full price of our massages, which cost $130 for a 60 min and $175 for 90 minutes. (you would be making $52 for a 60 min massage, and $70 for 90 min. ) This does not include tips, which we always encourage clients to leave.

Perks include free membership to the yoga studio, free use of our Sauna, and Redlight therapy rooms, and 20% off all retail items.

Position Summary

The Massage Therapists are responsible for providing high quality massage services for our Wellness Center clients at Rhode Island Hot Yoga. Massage therapists should be responsive to the needs of our clients and ensure that every individual has a healing and positive experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Arrive punctually 15 minutes before each appointment to prepare for the session and perform any necessary opening duties.
  • Review all client information before appointment, including initial medical intake form, SOAP notes from past appointment (if available), add-ons, and special requests
  • Consult with client at start of appointment to figure out a massage plan
  • Maintain open communication with client during massage to ensure their needs are met
  • Follow up with client after session and ensure all paperwork is returned to front desk
  • Break down / reset massage room according to studio guidelines.
  • Communicate any schedule changes or requests to Wellness Center Manager
  • Respond to any communication from supervisor within 48 hours
  • Maintain up-to-date massage license with the State of Rhode Island according to all current requirements and regulations

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

The minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Current and valid massage license in the state of Rhode Island
  • Current and valid CPR / first aid certification
  • Proof of current insurance

  • Physically able to perform 2-3 massages per shift (up to 3 hours active massage time)
  • Set-up and break down massage equipment for each shift
