As a Security Officer - Logistics Terminal Patrol Weekdays in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access points with professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or deliveries, and directing visitors, contractors, and drivers to approved areas.
• Monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems when assigned, report unusual activity, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Perform routine checks of doors, gates, and dock bay areas for signs of forced entry, propped doors, or unsecured areas, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic flow, noting seal numbers and/or trailer conditions when required by post orders.
• Complete daily activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation with clear, accurate details in accordance with site requirements.
• Provide guidance and assistance to employees, drivers, and visitors regarding site rules, directions, and general questions while maintaining a professional presence.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed by post orders and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
