Overview
KFO Legacy Foundation is seeking a visionary Director of Philanthropy to lead high-level donor dinners for cultivation and strategic partnerships for Shevet, a pioneering initiative advancing AI-driven healthcare innovation and scientific collaboration serving the Jewish community in the United States and in Israel.
Shevet accelerates breakthroughs in cognitive, neurological, and community health, uniting scientists, technologists, and philanthropic leaders committed to transforming the future of humanitarian medicine.
This role will guide fundraising for Shevet's launch at the Foundation's March Gala, securing the next circle of anchor donors who will shape the initiative's long-term trajectory. The Director will support Shevet's mission to expand AI-driven health research, develop joint innovation programs, and strengthen community-based health outcomes through strategic philanthropic investment. KFO Family Office currently oversees an AUM of $119M, anchoring the Foundation's growth and global influence.

Operating at the intersection of private capital and public mission, the Foundation unites philanthropists, investors, and policymakers to build lasting systems of change rooted in healthcare innovation, scientific progress, and human advancement.
Position - Director of Philanthropy (Shevet)
As Director of Philanthropy for Shevet, you will work closely with KFO's Legacy Foundation's executive team to design and lead the fundraising and partnership development strategy for one of KFO's most transformational global initiatives.
Your focus will include major donor engagement, donor capital campaigns, including hosting donor dinners, co-hosting conferences and co-hosting banquets, for Shevet's AI-driven health research and humanitarian mission.
You will cultivate major donors, craft philanthropic strategies that reflect Shevet's scientific and community-health goals, and ensure the initiative's successful expansion across medical, academic, and philanthropic networks.
Responsibilities
-Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors capable of six- and seven-figure commitments.
-Host donor engagement events, including dinners, co-host conferences & co-host banquets
-Develop tailored engagement strategies aligned with Shevet's mission in AI-driven healthcare innovation and community well-being.
-Lead outreach for the March Gala, coordinating invitations, donor briefings, and recognition pathways.
-Collaborate with the KFO executive leadership and comms team on storytelling, media, and donor collateral.
-Oversee donor stewardship and ensure transparent impact reporting for Shevet programs.
-Represent Shevet at philanthropic gatherings, medical innovation forums, and community-focused events.
-Track fundraising milestones, donor engagement metrics, and long-term retention indicators.
Qualifications
-5+ years in major-gifts fundraising, philanthropic partnerships, or health-innovation development.
-Demonstrated success securing high-value gifts supporting science, healthcare, AI, or humanitarian causes.
-Experience cultivating donors across philanthropy, life sciences, and technology sectors.
-Exceptional communication and relationship-management skills with HNW and institutional partners.
-Discretion, diplomacy, and poise in high-profile and culturally sensitive environments.
-Familiarity with Jewish community networks, health-tech initiatives, or community-based philanthropy preferred.
