Key elements of this job include overseeing and managing staff, supervising key accounts, and ensuring the quality of work provided to clients.
The Senior Director will extend and expand existing client relationships, support marketing and business development, and participate in regular networking activities.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Client Services
- Maintain relationships with current clients in assigned sectors
- Manage or direct major accounts
- Lead efforts to enhance and/or expand services to current clients
- Maintain and improve quality of firm's deliverables
- Oversee contract renewals, modifications, etc.
- Identify and solve issues affecting delivery of services, escalating when necessary to Vice President of Client Services
Management
- Guide, manage and support training and development of assigned staff
- Coordinate with peers on Client Services team to help manage and improve the firm's delivery of services
- Mentor and delegate work to assigned staff
- Manage professional development plans and performance reviews for staff
- Help identify and recruit staff and/or subcontractors to support client needs
- Coordinate regularly with leaders of Transportation, Government & Business Services, and Creative departments to ensure consistent guidance of team members
Business Development Support
- Identify opportunities for new services or expanded work among current and new clients
- Lead and/or support client proposal development in collaboration with sales team
- Collaborate with Marketing Director to advise on marketing materials
- Cultivate expertise in select industry sectors
Community Relations
- Prioritize and participate in key associations, organizations and other business networking opportunities
- Support direct outreach and marketing to potential clients in assigned sectors
- Assisting sales team to develop proposals and scopes of work for potential clients
Education/experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or related field
- 12-15 years of experience leading and planning communications and PR strategies, especially in an agency, corporate or public agency setting.

More About This Role
- A typical work week is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch
- Position will be based in C2's Louisville office.
- Reliable transportation is required
- Night and weekend hours, and the occasional travel, may be required but are minimal
- This position is full-time exempt and reports to the EVP of Client Services
