Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Server to join our team in an upper middle class mature Thai restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. This role requires strong communication skills, an understanding of food handling practices as well as current Food Handler License and TABC certificate, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Must have proficient POS experience. Prior Thai food knowledge desirable.

Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and attended to.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system.
  • Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
  • Buss tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special requests.
  • Manage cash register operations, processing payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure during peak hours.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is necessary.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
  • Familiarity with cash register operations; experience with a POS is necessary.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and requests simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a restaurant setting.
  • A passion for providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $7.50 - $23.75 per hour
