Job Description:

The L3Harris Tactical Communication Sector is seeking a Product Analyst to provide tactical technical support for the Airborne and embeddables products portfolio. This role will be based out of our Rochester, New York facility. 

Essential Functions:

  • Investigates customer requirements for product applications, research accessories and external applications for compatibility with company product offerings and makes recommendations on applicability.
  • Work closely with other Product Line Managers and engineers to ensure product testing and reporting is complete for product release.
  • Works with Product Line Managers to prepare detailed product specifications/responses with the offering managers to Request for Information (RFI)/Request for Proposals (RFP). 
  • Maintains integrity/consistency of product documentation including product specifications, data sheets and brochures.
  • Creates application notes and product bulletins to facilitate proper fielding and application of equipment.
  • Participation in trade shows, demonstrations and field trials as required.
  • Supporting the identification and troubleshooting of identified field issues and product service returns.
  • Participation in regular reviews of product line operations, trouble report reviews and development status meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and/or combined with ample experience.  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in the use, application and integration of embeddable airborne tactical radio equipment in customer-relevant environments
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Travel:  25% or more, including international travel

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of tactical radio product line and practical knowledge of project management. May manage small projects with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret technical product information, operational processes, practices, and procedures. Support product life cycle processes, practices and procedures.  Recommends enhancements to both current and future products, systems, and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.  Experience with sales, front-end of the business, Face-to-Face customer interactions.
  • Military service/background, preferred
  • Familiarity with RF tactical communication IP networks - radios, waveforms and applications, wireless networking, IP network management and routing
  • This position may require the candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $65,500 - $121,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
