Title: Teacher (Class Instructor)

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. Teacher Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide group instruction for up to 20 to 25 students using a variety of skill types such as play, communication, self-help and academic instruction in accordance with individual students goals and plans.
  • Create an individual tutoring plan (ITP) that matches student ability and learning style.
  • Recommend at-home strategies for reading skill improvement.
  • Maintain written records and evaluations of students.
  • Create and prepare supplemental lesson plans and materials
  • Ensures quick and accurate use of curriculum and methodologies/strategies
  • Collects data during teaching
  • Asses students using various platforms like Age of Learning and IXL
  • Identifies, plans and implements actively engaged enrichment activities
  • Assists students with homework provided by the school day teachers
  • Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree from a college or university and 3 years of teaching experience
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Works independently with little direct supervision
  • Has experience working as a teacher at a elementary school
  • Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skills

Teacher Working Hours

Hours are from 2:30pm to 6:00pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
